The Diamonds in the Desert Design Story

Diamonds in the Desert has officially been in business since 2018 but I want to rewind a bit and share with you how I entered the world of Interior Design!

Designing From a Young Age

As a little girl, I would redesign and rearrange my room again and again as often as my parents would let me. Then as I grew older, I began working in real estate and flipping homes in my native Arizona. I learned a lot about construction, design, and creating functional layouts during this time, and began assisting real estate clients with interior design advice.

Igniting the Passion

Fast forward to 2018 when a friend who was an interior designer asked me to assist their client with a full gut-renovation and all new full furnishing. I fell head over heels in love with creating finished spaces families can enjoy together, and haven’t looked back since! The name “Diamonds in the Desert” was inspired by one of my earliest memories with my late grandmother, Ann, with whom I used to look out over the valley at night to see the glistening lights of homes across the desert landscape. She called these "diamonds in the desert," and today, I have the honor of helping my clients create their own treasured memories with their loved ones through full remodels and room refreshes.

The DITD Brand

But at the end of the day, my brand goes so much deeper than choosing fabrics and fitting windows. It’s about bringing heart into your home, finding thoughtful and creative solutions for the way you live, and providing an elevated client experience from initial inquiry to final install.

And a huge part of that larger purpose is creating content with YOU in mind.

Here on the DITD journal, I will share design tips to help and inspire, concept designs with shoppable items, and project highlights to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the DITD process.

I hope that you will follow along and for even more content, be sure to subscribe to the DITD newsletter!
