April 2023 - Arizona Lifestyle Edit

Welcome to your April 2023 lifestyle edit! I’ve carefully curated food, drink, and event suggestions for you. My picks? Windsor and Churn for dinner and dessert, a pink cocktail for spring, and a fun vintage market! So if you're local to Arizona or planning to visit, here's your guide through this month's must-do's & see's!

Restaurant Spotlight

When the kiddos have a half day, that calls for a fun lunch date with friends! We decided one of our favorites, Windsor, would be the perfect spot! Of course, we had to end our lunch with some ice cream from Churn too.

The Windsor is a trendy restaurant located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate with a mix of wooden and metal accents, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light during the day. The restaurant has a comfortable and welcoming vibe, with staff that are eager to make your dining experience enjoyable.

The menu features a range of American cuisine with a modern twist. For lunch or dinner, The Windsor offers a range of burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. The salads are fresh and flavorful and the kids' meals come on fun partitioned plates. The restaurant is also known for its delicious brunch dishes, which are served on weekends.

The drinks menu is equally impressive, with a range of cocktails, beer, and wine. The cocktail list features classic drinks with a twist, such as my husband's favorite, the Smoked Old Fashioned and my favorite, the Spiced Margarita. The beer list features local and regional craft beers, while the wine list has a good selection of reds and whites.

After our meal, we went next door to Churn for dessert. From the moment you step inside, the bright and cheerful decor immediately lifts your mood. Their ice cream is a must-try! Each flavor is made in-house with high-quality ingredients, resulting in a rich and creamy texture that melts in your mouth. If you aren’t into ice cream, they also have delicious cookies and childhood favorite candies.

Overall, The Windsor and Churn are a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a cozy dinner date. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming. It’s definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Event Spotlight

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, coming up on April 21st - 23rd at Westworld in Scottsdale, AZ is one of my favorite shopping Markets! The market specializes in vintage and handmade items and features a variety of vendors selling everything from clothing and accessories to home decor and furniture.

The market is held multiple times throughout the year and has become a popular event for locals and tourists alike. The vendors at Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market are carefully selected to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of items.

I have some favorite vendors and highly recommend you check them out! One is a dear friend Gina, with The Secret Garden Living. Secret Garden Living She has created the most delicious and nutritious organic seasoning blend called Magic Salt which includes so many health benefits. It really is magic because it makes everything taste amazing! And for the picky eaters in your life who don’t like veggies, this is the secret that will make them love their greens.

Another vendor I recommend is Twenty 6 Designs. I love her handwritten designs which are created with her passion of doodling and the arts. She has tees, tanks, sweatshirt, hats, accessories and more which feature her own hand drawn letters.

In addition to shopping, the market also features live music, food vendors, and other entertainment, making it a fun day out for the whole family. I definitely recommend taking your family and look for fun treasures.

Whether you’re a Phoenix or Scottsdale local or planning to visit Arizona, my restaurant pick and recommended activities are sure to give you an unforgettable experience! Stay tuned for my May picks coming soon!
