As a designer, my goal has always been to create timeless spaces that transcend fads and trends. However, it's important to stay up-to-date on the latest interior design trends to keep your designs fresh and modern. After reflecting on my 2023 predictions, I've envisioned the upcoming interior trends for 2024, and I'm excited to share them with you. In this post, we'll explore five interior trends that I believe will define the essence of contemporary design in 2024.
Nature's Embrace
The first trend on our list is bringing the outdoors in. This means incorporating nature-inspired elements into your design, such as earthy color palettes, natural materials like wood and stone, and creating open living spaces that allow for indoor/outdoor living. One way to achieve this is by incorporating large windows or glass doors that connect your living space to the outdoors.
Bold Elegance
In 2024, we'll see a surge of bold and moody colors, luxurious textures, and unique patterns. To achieve this trend, experiment with paint in rich jewel tones like emerald, sapphire, and garnet to create a dramatic effect. Alternatively, try incorporating some bold tile choices in either color or pattern. We love seeing classic tile used in pattern like stripes and checkerboard.
Warmer Wood Tones
One trend that never goes out of style is the use of warm wood tones. In 2024, we'll see an increase in the use of warmer stains like walnut in cabinetry, flooring, and furniture pieces.
